Retreats at an elegant farm to help you find and fuel what matters most
Based at the sophisticated Fernbank Farm in 25 acres of grounds in the Yarramalong Valley, an hour’s drive north of Sydney, these transformative retreats, for individuals, families and corporates, will help you smash through limiting boundaries, identify your ambition and harness your power. Led by guide Gavin Douglas, specifically curated groups take part in carefully orchestrated workshops, walks, yoga and meditation. Afterwards, you’ll join an ‘elevated’ supportive online community.
Queen of Retreats says:
‘Settled in 1904, Fernbank Farm retains its olde-worlde heritage, yet the area’s potent high energy is almost palpable. This isn’t a relaxing retreat – you will have a packed schedule of workshops and talks, and your mealtimes will be spent processing what you’ve learned. Gavin uses his gamification skills to make learning pertinent and fun’
Experiences
As well as group retreats, Gavin and his team offer bespoke, private retreats for groups, corporates and families. Key areas include Celebration, Exploration, Trust and Support and sessions cover Super You, The Real You and Action-Mapping.
Expect yoga and meditation on the first and last mornings, and a walk and meditation on the second morning.
Between sessions, play tennis, have a swim in the pool, lounge by the lake or stroll the beautiful grounds.
Spaces
Set in 25 acres of garden, waterways and bushland, the retreat is based at two comfortable houses. The farmhouse has been restored with its original features - expect high ceilings, fireplaces and timber flooring. There’s also a modern cottage on site.
You’ll have your own room from a choice of eight bedrooms. The four characterful rooms in the farmhouse are traditional with chandeliers while the four in the cottage are modern, bright and airy.
Relax in the heritage-style lounge and dining room and savour their large fireplaces and ornate chandeliers, or head outside to the tennis courts, the pool and the lake.
Sustenance
Meals are mostly vegan and vegetarian, and the chef can cater for all intolerances.
Breakfast brings Miss Jones rye sourdough, avocado and poached eggs, while for lunch you might be served portobello mushroom filled with quinoa, cheeze and truffle oil, or Balinese yellow pineapple curry with fried tempeh, okra and red Thai jasmine rice. Dinner favourites include Moroccan fish fillet tagine with biryani-style rice or saffron risotto with asparagus, mussels and calamari.
Through the day coffee, tea, water and juice are available, and a glass of wine is offered with dinner. Snack on assorted nuts, protein balls and fruit.
