The large reception area with a fireplace, tables and stools is ideal for art and life coaching sessions and talks. A spacious open-plan kitchen has a long table layout, floor-standing Bluetooth speakers, a powerful projector and pull-down screen, and Fast Fibre internet, perfect for team-building gatherings, workshops and dinners. Or use the light, airy barn for yoga, sound healing, meditation and dance. There you'll find a sound system and microphone, a large-screen TV with a HDMI cable connection, infrared heaters, a polished concrete floor and smart lighting.

You can amble through the art forest - an area of woodland with paths and a fireplace. As well as a forest garden, the estate has an 'edible garden' and a formal lawn area. There are plenty of large, open, grassy areas, along with ponds and streams where you can sit, reflect, meditate and practise mindfulness, or follow the trail and take a hike. The sacred fire and fire circle are ideal for opening and closing ceremonies, intention-setting and keeping warm and snug on cooler days and evenings.

There are 12 rooms across the Mill House, which has four floors, and two cottages - with 16 single beds, six double beds and a characterful double-bedded waggon (with a wild shower). Rooms have plenty of natural light and the decor is simple and cosy. Storage is in open wardrobes and some rooms have tables. There are nine bathrooms across the site - all are shared. You'll find ten heated Emperor bell tents in the glamping field and neighbouring fields can also be used for DIY camping.
-
There are two wonderful first floor loft spaces in the cottages and two floors of communal space in the Mill House, where there's also a projector and screen. Chill out in the Music Room or get crafty in the Art Space. The large open-plan kitchen island is a good gathering spot. A games room has table football and a darts board and you'll find a TV in the barn.
-
As well as yoga, dance, meditation and art, the estate is ideal for back-to-nature breaks - try forest bathing or mindful walking. There are bikes you can borrow and trails to follow.
-
Dine at the long table in the open-plan kitchen or enjoy a barbecue in the walled garden. The venue can introduce you to creative local caterers, who use the freshest ingredients and can turn their talents to cosmopolitan fine dining as easily as home-from-home fare and outdoor events. They will ensure that your menu is bespoke and delicious.

As a zero-to-landfill site, Selgars Estate separates food waste (cooked and raw), non-recyclable waste, dry recyclables such as plastic, paper and cardboard, and glass. Bins are provided for each type of waste inside each property. A Biomass boiler powered by sustainably sourced woodchips provides heating, and solar panels produce electricity. The venue buys from local producers and works with neighbouring businesses where possible. It grows its own greens and vegetables on site.
The Extraordinary
The love of nature shines through everything - the owners think of nature as a canvas, and see their role as painting a masterpiece with every retreat they host.
The less than ordinary
Although the nine bathrooms are well appointed, spotless and spacious, they are all shared, which might put some people off.
